The first education in Bratislava LTTA1,Soňa Čermáková Uličná Arte Therapist was Reconnecting Through Color: A Creative Method for Self-Reflection and Group Cohesion.
In today’s fast-paced world, finding time to reconnect—with ourselves and others—can be a powerful act of healing and growth. This creative session is designed especially for women re-entering the workforce, trainers, career counselors, and anyone exploring their personal development journey. At its core, this method uses color, symbolism, and storytelling to tap into the unconscious aspects of our inner worlds.
Participants begin by selecting pieces of colorful paper, each representing a fragment of emotion, memory, or aspiration. As they create their individual „masterpieces,“ they’re invited to reflect on what their choices say about them. Are they drawn to bright reds or calming blues? Do they cut with precision or let creativity lead the way? These small details open doors—both literally and symbolically—to introspection and deeper connection.
Scattered across the floor are cards with door illustrations, representing different emotions, life stages, and mental states. These visual prompts guide participants in silently choosing which ‘door’ best reflects their current journey. The act of choosing, without words, heightens awareness of non-verbal communication and strengthens bonds within the group.
The session culminates in a gentle reflection, where participants share their insights and observe the group’s colorful tapestry of experiences. It’s a symbolic act of unity—one that leaves participants not only with a piece of art but also with renewed clarity, confidence, and connection.
