From May 22 to 24, the last joint meeting – workshop of partners within the WOWIT international project took place in the city of Velenje, Slovenia. It was a workshop for the unemployed women, organized by the Slovenian partner organization Društvo Novus, which has many years of experience in the field of working with the unemployed, among other activities.
Partners from Društvo Novus prepared a three-day workshop, which included various practical seminars and activities aimed specifically at supporting the unemployed. In addition, the event also focused on business support, volunteering, mentoring, functioning of civic associations, lifelong learning, along with the presentation of the best practices from partner countries.
The high professional level of the seminars was supported by participants who work in various professions and have many years of experience in the given fields and were therefore able to provide detailed and very practical information and experience.
Partner organizations could not be missing from the workshop: Rovnovážka from the Czech Republic and Futureg from Slovakia, while other guests from these countries also participated in the event.
The program also included informal events, during which the Slovenian partners showed us the town of Velenje and part of this beautiful region of Slovenia.
After three intensive days of events, we said goodbye to our partners, but knowing that this cooperation was only the beginning of our joint activities, and we will stay in touch even after the end of the WOWIT project. For us and our partners, the issue of women’s employment on the labor market is a long-term project. We are glad that with the support of the European Union we were able to get to know inspiring and interesting personalities and contribute and support other activities, associations and people dealing with the issue with our activities.
