Conflict is a natural part of human relationships. It appears in families, schools, workplaces, and communities. Although conflicts can be challenging and emotionally demanding, when understood and managed properly, they do not have to lead to division — instead, they can become opportunities for growth, understanding, and positive change.
In this module, participants will learn what conflict really is, why it happens, and how to handle it in a calmer and more constructive way. You will explore common causes of conflict, such as differing opinions, unmet needs, misunderstandings, and communication problems.
Through practical examples and interactive activities, you will discover different approaches to conflict resolution — from avoiding and accommodating, to compromising, negotiating, and collaborating to find shared solutions. The module will help you better understand your own reactions in conflict situations and develop the ability to respond more consciously and empathetically.
Module 4 also builds on the communication and dialogue skills introduced in the previous modules and prepares participants for upcoming topics related to emotions, mediation, and building healthy relationships.
